Yasmin Sas Sg2 Support Worker

Yasmin Graduated from London Studio Centre in 2010 while touring with Intoto Contemporary Dance Company working alongside various choreographers that created works for the company and performed this across the UK.

After graduating Yasmin developed her interest for dance and film going on to choregraph and direct a short dance on film piece called Archetype which was screened at TriSpace Gallery in London  2011. Other small-scale performances and creative collaborations Yasmin has been a part of including the Stepping out residency (2013, Halsway Manor) Somerset and Kaleidoscopic Arts Platform, (2014, London).

Yasmin has also nurtured her interest in Community dance and participated in Sadler’s Wells Creative and learning department in the Connect with Sadlers wells Compass production working in collaboration with the associate and visiting Pina Bausch company in and also working with Dance United. This motivated Yasmin to continue working with dance and movement in community and Yasmin embarked on an MA programme in Dance Movement Therapy at Goldsmiths University, completing this in 2018.

Yasmin first worked at Stopgap as Laura Jones’s support worker in 2016 on the Paralympics torch ceremony Performance and is pleased to be back as the Sg2 Company support worker.
