Eve Mitchell is a Healthcare Professional with over 15 years’ experience working in and consulting to public and private health and social care organisations. Eve has worked with a variety of health and care sector clients in the delivery of complex change, from transformational change and organisational design process to programme leadership and execution. Much of her work has been supporting organisations in the move from ’turnaround’ to sustainable transformation, with financial cost reduction and delivery of safe services as main drivers for the change.
Eve’s leadership of many nursing workforce change programmes has shown that the data made available to nursing is often not as good as the data given to other services, and this can leave nursing teams without the right analytics to suceed in the constant quest for cost savings and for safe and efficient staffing.
To help work through this imbalance, Eve has focused on the safe staffing agenda, recognising that in order for organisations to ensure an appropriate workforce and evidence for professional judgement, there must be consistency in approach and a way of linking staffing levels to quality outcomes that can then be benchmarked within and across organisations.
The outcome of this focus has been the formation of Creative Lighthouse Limited, and the creation of Establishment Genie (www.EstablishmentGenie.com). Eve believes the ‘Genie’ provides a way of ensuring appropriate, safe staffing that is affordable, measurable and comparable, allowing clinical and corporate colleagues to collaborate within and between organisations to make affordable decisions on staffing and workforce planning, which do not compromise on quality outcomes for patients and staff.
Eve is an alumni of the NHS ‘Gateway to Leadership’ and the PwC ‘Emerging Leadership
Programme’, is PRINCE2 certified, and is delighted to have joined the Board of Trustees for the Stopgap Dance Company.
