James studied English Literature at the University of Liverpool and over the last few years has worked mostly in the area of disability arts, including in arts for children and families, visual arts and arts commissioning. After moving to London from Manchester he developed his knowledge of inclusive theatre, training with the Graeae Ensemble and Deafinitely Theatre in design for performance. James joined Stopgap in 2020 as Projects Manager.
