Siobhan's new role
Siobhan discusses her new role as Assistant Artistic Director for Stopgap...
Although I have worked for Stopgap for over 4years now, as I have just started a new role I thought I would take this opportunity to introduce myself and share some things which I am looking forward to in this new position.
I am originally from Nottingham and I am very proud of my home city and everything it is famous for - Torvil and Dean, Robin Hood and Raleigh bikes (to name but a few) incase you were wondering!
I love riding my bike, reading novels and cooking. Currently I am a little obsessed with baking sourdough bread...
As well as supporting Lucy with her artistic vision for the company I am looking forward to the start of the next chapter for a new Sg2 (emerging artists company). In the new year we will be holding a few taster workshops to get to know interested dancers and in April we will hold auditions. Watch this space for further announcements about Sg2
This is such a time of planning and preparation, an essential stage, but I am itching to get started. I love seeing Hannah and Nadenh (previous Sg2 graduates) flourish in the main touring team and I can’t wait to discover and nurture the next generation of inclusive artists.
