Born in Poland, Anka is a graduate of Social Policy from UEP, Poland; Dance Composition and Dance from NSCD Leeds; and Dance Pedagogy and Contemporary Dance at ABPU, Austria.
Since 2015 she has been a freelance dance artist and teacher; performer, pedagogue and manager of cultural events working in the UK, Austria and Poland. Anka has worked with companies, choreographers and artists such as EXIM, Vinicius Salles, Stella Zannou, Adam Benjamin, Regina van Berkel, Jinan Qu, Jason Jacobs, Natalia Draganik- Franke, Maciej Kuźmiński and Natalia Iwaniec.
She believes what makes movement important is the creative process and transforming differences between individuals into the most powerful and valuable asset. Woven throughout Anka’s experiences and training is the importance of cooperation, communicating without the necessity of words and creating a community by listening to the needs of others alongside those of oneself.
Anka joined Stopgap in 2022 as a dance and choreography trainee to expand her dance knowledge and management practice.
