Access Worker

Annabell Duft

Annabell recently joined Stopgap as an Access Worker. After pursuing their BA (Hons) in Movement Pedagogy in Social Work in their home country Germany, they recently graduated from Trinity Laban with distinction in the MFA Dance Leadership and Community Practice. During her studies, Annabell had the opportunity to work with many participatory arts organisations such as CODA Dance Company, AMICI Dance Theatre Company, Royal Academy of Dance, Breathe Arts Research, and Trinity Laban. Alongside, she also performed in several in-house events at Trinity Laban. Since graduating, they have continued working on the RADiate project by the Royal Academy of Dance, the Children’s and Young People Programme at Trinity Laban, and the Experiment lab at DreamArts.

Annabell’s passion for moving together with everyone and everybody guided them to develop an artistic practice that aims to build inclusive, creative and non-hierarchical spaces. She endeavours to share the joy and power of dance based on the belief that movement is a catalyst for empowerment, community and change. Outside of dance, she loves a craft project, finds joy in other ways of moving, especially gymnastics and bouldering, and will frequently be found in a handstand.

Annabell is excited to support the Creative Learning team at Stopgap, grow professionally and personally, and work in such a warm and supportive company.
