Chair – Dalila D’Amico

Flavia Dalila D’Amico is a Temporary Research Fellow at the Department of Planning, Design, and Architecture Technology, Sapienza University and curator in the field of performing arts. Her research interests focus on the intersections of bodies, political subjectivities and technologies. In 2017 She obtained the title of PhD in Music and Entertainment at Sapienza University of Rome, with a thesis aimed at investigating the relationship between disabilities and performing arts, partly merged into the monograph Lost in Translation. Le disabilità in scena (2021, Bulzoni Editore). In 2014 she won a “DAAD” scholarship, an international exchange program that allowed her to study at the Freie Universität in Berlin. Her current research investigates the role of visual and performative artists in the processes of technological innovation even in terms of accessibility. She is the curator of the artistic residency “Accessible Creations” promoted by ORBITA| Spellbound National Dance Production Center and supported by the supervision of Al.di.Qua.Artists of which she is a member.


Flavia Dalila D’Amico è Assegnista di Ricerca presso il Dipartimento di Pianificazione, Design e Tecnologie dell’Architettura, Università La Sapienza e curatrice nell’ambito delle arti performative. I suoi interessi di ricerca si concentrano sulle intersezioni tra corpi, soggettività politiche e tecnologie. Nel 2017 ha conseguito il titolo di Dottore di Ricerca in Musica e Spettacolo presso Sapienza Università di Roma, con una tesi volta ad indagare il rapporto tra disabilità e arti performative, in parte confluita nella monografia Lost in Translation. Le disabilità in scena (2021, Bulzoni Editore). Nel 2014 ha vinto una borsa di studio “DAAD”, un programma di scambio internazionale che le ha permesso di studiare alla Freie Universität di Berlino. La sua attuale ricerca indaga il ruolo degli artisti visivi e performativi nei processi di innovazione tecnologica anche in termini di accessibilità. È curatrice della residenza artistica “Creazioni Accessibili” prodotta da ORBITA| Spellbound Centro Nazionale di Produzione della Danza e supportata dalla supervisione di Al.di.Qua.Artists di cui è socia.
