
Born in Barcelona, Elia Lopez graduated at Institut del Teatre de Barcelona in 2006 and to further her training, she traveled around Europe to attend workshops with international teachers.
Professionally she has worked with companies, choreographers and artists as Sasha Waltz & Guests, La Veronal, Gelabert-Azzopardi, Àlex Rigola, Romeo Castellucci, Maura Morales, Gustavo Ramirez, Lanònima Imperial, Toula Limnaios, Els Comediants among others and she has performed with them around the world.
She has participated as well in many other independent projects involving video dance, installations, videoclips or photography as a performer, choreographer and movement assistant.
In addition to her studies, Elia has been a yoga teacher since 2014 and in 2017 she was awarded at Dharma Yoga Center in New York to study under the teachings of Sri Dharma Mittra to complete her 500 hours teacher training for which she is very grateful and inspired. Whenever possible she loves to combine her professional career with teaching dance or yoga.
