Kajsa Sundström

Kajsa is a Swedish neurodivergent contemporary dance artist based in London. She has worked across stage, screen and site-specific works as a performer, and is a certified yoga teacher with an extensive teaching practice, working across contemporary and modern forms, as well as improvisation. She believes that dance can be a vehicle for change, and wishes to help create more inclusive spaces for disabled and queer people, working towards disability justice and making spaces for queer joy. Her values as an artist are joy, curiosity and inclusivity.

Upon starting her journey as a dancer in her teens, she has trained and performed across Scandinavia, the U.K and the U.S. She has worked with companies such as Second Hand Dance, English National Ballet, Limón Dance Company and Reality Dansteater, and independent choreographers and artists Lucy Turner, Michael Mendones & Isabelle Battley – among others. She is part of the Sadler’s Wells Disabled Artist Cohort & and a member of Chisenhale Artist Community. She trained at Guildford School of Acting, graduating with a First Class Honours Degree in Dance, and received her classical ballet training from Dilek Taptik School of Dance (RAD).
