Mignon Riggs

Mignon is a dance artist based in the South of England. Completing her Undergraduate and Postgraduate contemporary dance training at The University of Chichester. During her studies she worked with artists James Wilton, Lîla Dance, Kay Crook & Hannah Martin Reilly. As part of her degree Mignon completed an Erasmus exchange, training at The Escola Superior de Dança in Lisbon.

After completing her MA Mignon worked for two years as a Dance Artist at Wessex Dance Academy- a program that supported vulnerable young people through dance. She was also engaged in R&D with Morvell Dance as well as several residential dance development courses.

In 2023 she co-founded Glitch Dance Collective who premiered their first work ‘En Route’ at Brighton Fringe Festival in May 2024. Glitch have gained support from Ceyda Tanc Dance, The Studio Brighton,The University of Chichester and Dance City Newcastle. Glitch have been commissioned to create works and workshops for 3Fall Dance company, Oxford High School and other educational establishments.

Mignon joins Stopgap as an Access worker and freelance teacher.
