Tom Goodwin

Tom trained in Contemporary Dance at Laban and continued training in improvisation and devising at the National Choreography Centre in Montpellier, France. As a performer, he has worked with artists such as Hofesh Shechter, Ben Wright, Rosemary Lee, Charlotte Spencer, Yuval Pick and Charlie Morrissey. And has been working with Luca Silvestrini’s Protein as a performer, assistant and facilitator on various projects since 2010.

Tom has an evolving teaching practice influenced by Bartenieff Fundamentals, Body Weather, Ido Portal Method, Tai Chi, and various philosophical and deep ecology practices. He enjoys developing and delivering movement workshops and classes for a variety of contexts such professional open class in London, company class for companies like Scottish Dance Theatre, or training workshops for institutions like Codarts, Rotterdam.

Tom joined Stopgap in 2020 as Assistant Artistic Director (Maternity Cover) and collaborates with Stopgap on Home Practice.
