In 2022, Oriente Occidente and Stopgap Dance Company embarked on a year-long project to promote equality, diversity and inclusion in the Italian and UK dance scenes, funded by the British Council’s International Collaboration Grants.
This short documentary shares insights into the project through interviews with Stopgap’s Co-Artistic Director Laura Jones and Community Engagement Artist Cherie Brennan, along with reflections from Italian workshop participants and blind Italian dance artist Giuseppe Communiello.
