Tools for Inclusion

These sessions focus on practical tools and techniques for creating accessible resources and embedding inclusion throughout your workflows.

Designed to be flexible, each session typically lasts between 1.5 to 2.5 hours and can be combined or tailored to fit your organisation’s unique needs, goals, and circumstances.

Access Resources for Events and Performance

This training empowers you to create access resources that make events and performances welcoming and accessible to a diverse range of Disabled audiences.

You’ll learn how to develop tools like Visual Stories, event access guides, Audio Introductions, and more — all designed to break down barriers and enhance audience experience.

Easy-Read Documents

This session guides you through best practices for creating clear, accessible Easy-Read documents designed to support learning-disabled and neurodivergent people in understanding information confidently and independently. You’ll learn how to simplify language, use effective layouts, and incorporate supportive visuals — empowering you to communicate with greater clarity and inclusion.

Understanding and Implementing Access Riders

This session demystifies access riders, guiding both individuals on how to create their own and organisations on how to understand, use, and respond to them effectively.

Learn how access riders can ensure clear communication of needs, foster collaboration, and support truly inclusive events and productions.

Accessible Marketing and Social Media

This session shares practical strategies for creating digital content that is both accessible and engaging, and for building a social media presence that welcomes everyone.

You’ll gain tips, tools, and insights to ensure your marketing reaches Disabled audiences effectively — helping you promote your events and performances in a way that’s genuinely inclusive.

What they say

  • Great to have training from an organisation working within the same sector, as there is a shared understanding and knowledge of our audiences and work, that meant the training felt much more relevant than others I have previously experienced.

  • This training shared so many insights. It was really helpful to have statistics provided, as well as lived experience. It definitely has made me feel clearer, more confident and more energised about improving EDI in my work context and life in general.

  • A brilliant session that will have a really positive impact on our wider team. We now have a greater understanding around access in the arts that will hopefully shift people thinking around their practice in the studio.

  • Thank you so much for facilitating this training. The way it was held was so inspirational, grounded and with a profound sensitivity for humanity.
